February Artist

We’re excited to announce our February artist, Michael McCue!

Local artist and art educator Michael McCue will beshowcasing several paintings that explore the balance of realistic subjectmatter but unconventional color and abstraction.  Born and raised in Long Island, New York, he is a new North Carolinian after relocating to pursue his dream of becoming an elementary art teacher.  His paintings began with a conceptual series of self-portraits breaking into puzzle pieces tolater evolve into more painterly, whimsical, color theory inspired works.  He often draws inspiration from the enthusiasm and curiosity of his elementary age students and creates paintings that he finds others would enjoy creating too. He feels that the teaching of art is the teaching of life in many aspects which enhances the idea that all artists see the world differently.

No Quarter Stout is BACK!

The No Quarter Coffee Stout is back! Our friends at Steel Sting Brewery brew this every year with our cold pressed Guatemalen La Providencia coffee. It’s an 8.0% coffee and oatmeal stout that features an intense coffee aroma and flavor, with a finish of semi-sweet cocoa. This batch has an additional infusion of our Ethiopia ARDI for floral and berry notes.

Don’t miss its return to the Tap Room for the colder months, and keep an eye out for bottles!
