Q: Tell us about your Barista’s choice drink
A: An effervescent and soothing latte made with a house-made orange, cinnamon, and clove syrup blended with a soothing and rich bakers chocolate to make a soothing and rich cup of orange chocolately goodness. That’s soothing.

Q: What charity are you choosing to donate proceeds of your drink to this month and why?
A: 10% of the proceeds will be going to the Orange County Rape Crisis Center. I have been fortunate enough to know several of the people who work there, and I am very appreciative of the work they do and what they do for the community. They’re a wonderful organization, and a great place for resources if you or anyone you know could use them.

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
A: I have participated in Horse Bowl. Multiple years. I have never won horse bowl

Q: What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
A: Whatever is leftover the next day. I like making a frankenstein-esque sandwich with whatever will fit on the bread. It’s normally delicious.

A: I like telling my cat I’m a dog person

A: I like mountainous beaches and beachy mountains

Q: What’s your favorite drink to order in cafes right now?
A: Espresso over ice. It’s a great way to tell the quality of espresso at an unknown coffee shop, it’s refreshing, and it makes the barista sweat

Q: What books are you reading right now?
A: I’m currently switching between Books of Blood by Clive Barker, Brief Answers to Big Questions by Stephen Hawking, and Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne

Q: Favorite Alt Milk
A: Cow’s milk for the win. I also just found out that camel’s milk is a thing, so I might have to go with Camel’s Milk
.
Q: Go-to latte art
A: An impressionistic flower/fern/feather. Good for all occasions

A: Coffee. Or a nice lemon mint

Q: Favorite Carrboro coffee roasters coffee?
A: I love our coffees that are honey-processed, I think it makes for a particularly delicious and smooth cup of coffee and has reinvigorated my fondness for black coffee. I also really enjoy Ignacio “Nacho” Gutierez’s El Barrancon because it’s tasty and I can tell people, “No, it’s NACHO coffee” and then giggle. Also, the Moonset Dwarf Geisha is amazing. I mean, come on, it’s grown by moonlight, how can it not be magical.

Q: Tell us about your baristas choice drink.
A: Sage It Ain’t So: A maple sage cappuccino garnished with sea salt
This cappuccino is a warm welcome to fall flavors and cooler weather. The sweetness of the maple pairs well with the herbaceous sage and a light saltiness really tells your tongue its okay to be basic. Just a real delight.

Q: What charity are you choosing to donate proceeds of your drink to this month & why?
A: The American Chestnut Foundation. They are working hard to return this important native species back into the forests in North Carolina and Eastern US. Why? Because what is fall without leaves and trees? I love trees.

A: I am currently working towards a masters degree in occupational therapy at UNC.

A: A couple years ago I was Scully from the X-files. Proud of that one ?, the truth is out there.

A: The Summer Sunset Cap is an ode to the warm summer nights spent with friends and families. I use sweet potatoes, which reminds me out my mom. Beber spice that Yadi, a regular at driade gave me. It’s all about the love from family and friends that make us who we are.

Q: Tell us about your baristas choice drink.
A: I LOVE Matcha and I wanted to create something refreshing and delicious for the last bit of summer! Before the caffe added matcha lattes to our menu, I used to bring my own in to make during my shifts ?and one day I tried mixing it with our fresh squeezed lemonade and I’ve been wanting everyone to try it ever since!

Q: What charity are you choosing to donate proceeds of your drink to this month & why?
A: Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge – a local animal sanctuary that rescues farm animals from awful conditions to give them the life that they deserve. I love animals and I believe they deserve to live a happy life too! In addition to rescuing animals, the farm also hosts educational classes, vegan cooking classes & workshops on living cruelty-free lifestyles.

A: I’m very interested in the Human Design system, Tarot and Astrology ✨

Q: Tell us about your baristas choice drink.
A: The Cold Cappuccino is a take on the Greek Freddo Cappuccino. The Cold Capp is smaller than its’ European counterpart: 8 ounces altogether with two shots of espresso, ice, and cold oat milk foam that rests on top. It can be lightly sweetened with vanilla or lavender ?

Q: What charity are you choosing to donate proceeds of your drink to this month & why?
A: I am donating to the Animal Protection Society of Durham, where I found my tiny dog! The shelter takes in many stray and surrendered cats, dogs, and small pets in the area.

A: I spelled cappuccino wrong three times trying to make a sign for this drink.

A: Well. I love my particular tiny dog…..

A: I wanted to do a fun summer drink. I realized that not many places sell Sangria. We are known for our coffee. Why not promote our wine. A discussion happened with the boss and it went from there.

A: Fun fact: I used to be fem. Hair, nails, makeup. For real dudes. I got pictures to prove it. Somewhere. 🙂

Q: Tell us about your baristas choice drink.
A: My Barista’s Choice drink is the Espresso Sour! Inspired by the classic cocktail genre, it features espresso paired with lemon juice and rosemary-infused simple syrup over ice with a splash of Q Soda. I thought up the Espresso Sour because I think our espresso pairs really nicely with citrus, and so I wanted to showcase this in a fun refreshing drink that’s perfect for the new spring season.

A: I like both but I’m probs more of a cat person.

A: Beach is better.
